The Oscar E. Monnig Meteorite Gallery opened on February 1, 2003. Using high-tech, state-of-the-art displays and lighting technology, the Monnig Meteorite Gallery exhibits the best of TCU’s impressively diversified collection of over 1,600 different meteorites, including Lunar and Martian meteorites. Visitors to the gallery learn about the history of meteorites, where they come from, how they are classified, and the craters they produce. The Gallery is a first-rate educational museum where visitors can interact with 4.5 billion year old visitors from space. Guided tours are available for groups of 10 or more by appointment.

The Monnig Meteorite Gallery is located on the TCU campus in the Sid W. Richardson Physical Sciences building at the corner of University and W. Bowie Street. Admission is free. Gallery hours are 1:00 to 4:00 pm Tuesday through Friday and 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday.
