Ranch Management

Teaching responsibilities will be concentrated on agricultural resource management with an emphasis on animal production agriculture, animal health, reproduction and business practices currently employed in the cattle industry. All classes emphasize economic cost of managerial decisions as well as return on investment. The candidate will be expected to cross teach with other faculty, but their primary courses will be specific to the candidate's training and capabilities. Teaching will include the application and economic impacts, best animal and natural resource utilization, including but not limited to, ranch business management, agricultural finance and agricultural marketing strategies, natural resource management, in conjunction with livestock production systems. All courses are taught in a collaboratively-based comprehensive manner and in a coordinated effort with other faculty members.
